well we did start with snow but it changed to rain overnite and gave us a frozen wonderland~i would love to have a heater in the bird bath to keep the birds happy all winter~its a balmy 19/-7c with a stiff breeze~but i will take that over the heat and stupidity of summer anytime :D

...love your bird bath! You can get a small heating element for it in the winter; just use a heavy-duty outdoor drop cord; the birds and squirrels will be SO grateful ! Did you know the idiot birds even bathe in freezing weather when they find water in a bird bath??!!!!! DUh.

the problem is i couldn't plug it in-the drop cord would have to run across the end of the driveway to the house outlet-and would get run over by the snow blower-that is if we ever get any SNOW!!
