before and after..............

well it turned out that they 'were' white faced hornets!!! we did contact a company to remove them~but we were out of their 'range' which really is too bad to because they come and suck the hornets out with a big vacuum which does not hurt the hornets then they sell them to hospitals to use for bee sting immunity (?) programs~so we were left with no choice but to take care of destroying them ourselves~yea using the spray in a can......:( but they are such aggresive hornets they had to go~the nest now looks like this way up in the tree i am just waiting for it to fall from the tree when i am out hanging laundry and going straight into 'freak out mode' !!! such a beautiful work of nature tho~i wouldn't mind preserving it but it would have to stay out doors hornets or no hornets~the damn thing still makes me jumpy :) i love that you can see the cells in the falling apart pic......hope they don't come and visit again next year...
