sick kitty

the big guy simon is sick~he had fluid in his lungs and has an enlarged heart~he's been my bud for almost 10 years now~ the first vet visit was almost $400~and he needs an echo cardiogram to find out exactly what type of heart disease he has so we can treat him properly~pills to get the fluid out of his lungs are working~i asked the vet if he is suffering in anyway from the heart condition~she said 'no don't give up on him yet'~but he just is not himself~sleeping alot ~good days and bad ones~losing weight~which at 26 lbs i think he can spare a few lbs. don't you?
off to talk to the vet on monday to see if hes still needs the pills for his lungs~for such a persnickity guy he takes the pills real well~
i hope to set up some kind of payment plan for the echo cardio gram~i know its alot of money to spend on a cat but if you love your furry friends like i do~its worth it~he has brought me too much pleasure and comfort not to treat him well~

Oh Tammy,so sorry to her Simon is under the weather. Lots of kitty prayers to HIM from Gizmo and I.
I'm sure you're taking very good care of him!

I hope Simon gets all better soon! Here's wishing for a Christmas miracle for him!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! I'm jealous that you live in New England! It's my favorite area of the country.

Oh Tammy...I am so sorry to hear that Simon is not feeling well!!! My thoughts are sure with you both and hoping that the pills will help and the cardiogram will reveal how to treat him best. I sure know about the vet bills...it's not always easy on the pocketbook. But when you love them and they are your family...you do whatever you possibly can!

I love the picture of Simon and Cookie snuggling together!!!

Sending you a most heartfelt hug from me!

Hi,
I hope your "baby" is feeling better soon.
I spent two and a half thousand dollars for my puppy to have a knee reconstruction, and she has more than repaid me with love and cuddles.
I hope all goes well at your next vet visit.
Merry Christmas!
