Funny as it may be, we have always called these birds 'the diaper birds' They are in our area year round (western NY). Thank you for feeding our feather friends!

Oh...we have these sweet birds!!! Aren't they darling...I just love them! I didn't know they were called snow birds! Every day it snowed, I'd go out in the morning and put sunflower hearts on the snow and then finally some in a flower pot saucer for them! They love to hang out below the suet too and wait for another bird to drop some down! Great pictures...and I'm glad I learned something new about them today! ;-)

The other thing that amazes me is how they just sit out in the snow why it's snowing! Our birds and my two hummers would just sit there...freezing...the poor little things! The hummer would even sit there while we had freezing rain! I was wishing he'd go home before he ended up getting iced onto the branch!!! LOL!

Hugs friend...~Lisa ;-)
