snow peaks and dunes from yesterdays wind~god it was beautiful~
no cookie does not go out~but every now and then she sneaks out behind me~she was not quite sure what to make of the snow! it did not take long before she wanted back in the house :)
i had a slew of cardinals bothmale and female this a.m.
but by the time i got my
camera and made so much noise opening
the window all i could capture was this
guy waaaay off in the neighbors tree~
the males are just so stunning against
the white snow~
i will keep trying :)

Wonderful snow pics Tabby! My telephoto lens never seems good enough when it comes to bird pics, but I am also not willing to have a huge lens, so I guess I can't complain. Love seeing snow since we have had zip, zero nothing here yet. Your 'snowbird' pic is wonderful too!
Beautiful Pictured as usual! We've still got NO SNOW!!! Kids are out of school today, freezing rain and sleet AGAIN!! UGGGHH!

That is funny about Cookie...I remember my girls weren't sure what to think about it either and it never took long until they wanted back in either.
I have never seen a cardinal before. :( We don't have them here! Wish I could see one for real. What is the difference between a male and female? Don't you hate it when you get the camera and by the time you get to the window or door and open it...they take off! LOL! Happens to me a lot! Keep trying for another shot...I'd love to see! ~me ;-)
