Absolutely gorgeous Tabby, I can almost smell it too. LOVE the smell of Lupine! We can't grow them here all that well, or I should say "I" don't seem to be able to
Your patience paid off!, Love the gazing ball too!

Hi Tammy...you are too funny!!! Guess I'm getting better...didn't turn purple or feel like a deer caught in the headlights this time...LOL! ;-)

Oops...I think Patty missed the shhhh...but that's okay...I do know...it's LUPINE...you LUCKY girl! Your plant is BEAUTIFUL...so full and love those flower spikes! What drama they add to your garden! Love the shots with the wet leaves too. You are so lucky to have it bloom...it's gorgeous!

They grow in Oregon like wildflowers too. Sometimes you can see a whole valley of them...usually purple although there are lots of colors of them. If we head up the Gorge soon (which we've been talking about), I will have to keep my eyes peeled and camera in hand. We can buy them as a perennial at the nursery and I planted two, 2 yrs ago, and lost them both. Don't know why they weren't happy...maybe I should try it again!

I also see a daylilies, roses, iris, oriental poppy (what color?) and lavendar...and maybe shasta daisies? Did I do good?

Love your gazing ball too! Thanks for sharing these great snaps...I love seeing what's bloomin' in your yard!!! XOXO ~Lisa

Hi Tabby..
Long time since i visited.... SORRY!
These are lupins.. right?? I love them. These are sooooo beautiful, are they hard to grow?.. It sounds like it....My neighbour has them...

I am pooped since i got home from retreat, besides I hurt my foor, something snapped and I am limping....Then I dropped a pair of scissors that plunged into my instep.. Ouch and so much blood.....Should I write a book!!!!
I will still be giving you a call when i get things in order here..
Meanwhile take care Ms. Greenthumb!!!!!
