good things...............

sorry the wooly bear pic on the bottom is blurry-i can't remember if more black on them means a cold and snowy winter or if more brown means a warmer one?? or vice versa!

my little pumpkin from our visit to the pumpkinp patch~there were massive ones~and at 14 cents a pound you could get some really huge ones for a decent price! me i went for a little one~the carrot is my favorite ~carrot cake muffin mix-now to borrow some muffin pans from my neighbor~no, no i do not cook :)

Awesome...haven't been to the pumpkin patch in a long time now! My boys are 25 and 20...time to go again and just enjoy for me. The carrot cake sounds delightful...and I love ICING on cake!!! Ask my husband, the more roses on my birthday/anniversary (same day) cake the better!!! Especially butter frosting...but I LOVE cream cheese frosting on carrot cake! Carrot cake was my Nana's favorite and my youngest son, Spencer's , too!

Happy pumpkins, warm tea, and all the smells of fall!!!

P.S. I did not know that the wooly bear caterpillar showed signs of being a snowy winter or a warmer winter pillar! I know about the squirrels and their stash and I know about the pine cones on fir trees...being a cold winter!

I am like you, give me a warm place, fire, cozy chair, and beads...I would be a happy camper! I've often said to my husband...I could live in Alaska, Montana, as long as we were warm and cozy!!!

Hugs Tammy...~me ;-)

Fuzzy bears / Woolly bears - we have an abundance of them here in the mountains of WV. According to our farmers and the 'men on the mountain' they predict the coming winter by their three bands of color, the front black band representing the first half of winter, the back black band representing the second half of winter. The larger these bands are, the more severe the winter will be - if the area of brown is very small, this means a really severe winter. I think we should gather up a bunch of them and make our own predictions! I found a solid black one in my drive this morning - although I think he was actually a different species and I was afraid to touch him :-)
Enjoy your day!
